During our unit with The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne, we also studied a little bit of propaganda, specifically focusing on that of WWII. The student's task was to redesign the cover of the book as a type of propaganda. On the reverse side of their new book cover/poster, they were to explain their design choices and how their new design reflects a type of propaganda.

After finishing our unit working with The Giver, students had the opportunity to build their own utopias. Students were challenged to create their utopias however they wanted as long as they met all criteria set out for them. I talked a little but about this project in one of my earlier blog posts.
